Shockproof – IK10

Robust Durability (MIL-STD 810G Certified)

Our security product is engineered to meet rigorous national standards, including MIL-STD 810G, ensuring reliable performance even after drops of up to 1.5 meters.

Impact Resistance (IK10 Rating)

The IP Cam product is built to withstand significant impact, earning the IK10 certification, the highest standard for vandal resistance, to protect against external damage.

Secure Packaging (DKBA1109-2013 Compliant)

Our packaging meets DKBA1109-2013 LEVEL requirements, offering superior protection for drops up to 1.2 meters, ensuring safe transport and delivery.

Advanced Design with CAE Simulation

We utilize cutting-edge CAE simulation in the early stages of product design, enabling enhanced precision and reliability to optimize performance and durability from the start.

IP Ratings in Product Design: Ensuring Protection from Environmental Elements

The IP (Ingress Protection) rating system is the most widely recognized standard for assessing a product's ability to withstand environmental conditions and protect against contaminants.

What are IP Ratings?

IP ratings define a product's resistance to the ingress of foreign objects and liquids, according to the IEC 60529 standard. The two-digit code indicates the level of protection:

The first digit represents protection against solid objects (e.g., dust, debris).
The second digit represents protection against liquids (e.g., water, rain).

A higher number indicates greater protection. Occasionally, you may see an “X” in place of one of the digits, which means the product has only been tested for one type of ingress (either solids or liquids).

Solids  Liquids
1 Protected against objectobjects larger 50 mm (such as a hand).

1 Prevent dripping water. Ingress is limited so that there is no interference with operation.

2 Protected against objects larger than 12.5 mm (such as a finger).

2 Prevent dripping water when the enclosure is tilted at an angle of 15° from its normal position. Ingress is limited so that there is no interference with operation.

3 Protected against objects larger than 12.5 mm (such as a screwdriver).
icon
3 Protected against water sprays at angles up to 60 degrees.
icon
4 Protected against objects larger than 2.5 mm (such as wire).
icon
4 Prevent water from splashing in all directions.
icon
5 Dust resistant
Dust entry is limited so that it does not interfere with functioning.
icon
5 Protected against a water jet with a pressure of 30 kPa
icon
6 Dust tight
No dust intrusion is allowed.

6 Protected against a water jet with a pressure of 100 kPa

7 Water-resistant for immersion at a depth of 1 meter for up to 30 minutes.
icon

8 Water-resistant prolonged submersion in water at depths of up to 3 meters.

IK Ratings in Product Design: Protecting Your Devices from Impact

IK ratings measure the level of protection an electrical enclosure provides against external mechanical impacts, ensuring your products can withstand the rigors of real-world environments.

What are IK Ratings?

IK-rated products are essential for devices placed in public spaces, high-traffic areas, commercial environments, or locations prone to vandalism. A product’s IK rating indicates its ability to resist physical damage from impact, helping prevent costly failures and downtime.
An impact can compromise the product’s functionality or lead to complete failure. Therefore, assessing the risk of potential impacts is crucial when choosing a fixture with the right IK rating. IK ratings range from IK00 (no protection) to IK10 (highest protection), providing a clear indication of a product’s durability against mechanical forces.
