In the fast-changing rhythm of work, physical and mental stability and awareness are the cornerstones of every employee's vitality. Ability Enterprise has long been concerned about the mental health of its employees and is committed to realizing a “healthy workplace” in its culture and systems.
In order to deepen the knowledge related to sleep and emotional adjustment, Ability Enterprise invited Miss Liao, a consulting psychologist from the Organization-Department of Health in New Taipei City to present a seminar with the theme of "Do you sleep well? Let's learn how to sleep together" to help colleagues understand the stress factors affecting sleep, common emotional disturbances, and learn simple and practical techniques to regulate sleep.
The seminar provided an in-depth understanding of the physiological basis and rhythm of sleep, including the stages of rapid eye movement (REM), light sleep and deep sleep, and how these stages affect emotional recovery and concentration maintenance.
Miss Liao also introduced the mechanism of melatonin, explaining how this hormone secreted by the pineal gland regulates our sleep rhythm under the influence of light, and provided practical suggestions to help the body naturally generate sleepiness, such as establishing a regular routine and reducing blue light stimulation.
Through the on-site quiz, we will also learn more about our own “larks” or “owls” rhythmic tendencies, which can be used as a reference for adjusting our daily routines.
